Send an EV station straight to your Tesla's navigation with one tap — the car preheats the battery on the way, so fast charging runs at full power from the very first minute.
A cold battery charges several times slower at a fast charger — in winter that can cost you tens of minutes. Tesla preheats the battery automatically when a fast charger is set as the destination in the car's navigation (from software 2025.2.8 — including non-Tesla charging networks).
That's exactly what Teslawaze takes advantage of: when you tap "Navigate" to a DC station (≥50 kW), we offer to send it to your Tesla's navigation. We never send any "heat the battery" commands — the car decides and handles everything on its own, exactly as if you had entered the destination by hand.
In the car's browser, open teslawaze.eu → the gear button → at the bottom "Tesla account" → Connect.
Important: connect specifically from the car's browser — the account is tied to the device.
The official auth.tesla.com sign-in will open (you enter your password directly with Tesla — we never see it).
Check BOTH boxes — both "Vehicle Information" and "Vehicle Commands" (without it the command can't reach the car) — and press "Allow".
In your phone's browser, open tesla.com/_ak/teslog.lt — the Tesla app opens and asks whether to add a virtual key to your car. Tap Approve.
You can remove the key from the car at any time: Controls → Locks.
On the Teslawaze map, tap a fast charger (≥50 kW) → "Navigate" → a "Preheat the battery?" prompt appears → "Yes, send it".
For slow (AC, 22 kW) stations the prompt isn't shown — they don't need preheating.
After a few seconds the car's navigation starts guiding you to the station, and the route card shows "Preparing battery for fast charging" — the battery warms up along the way.
On a cold day, charging will start at full speed on arrival — saving you up to several dozen minutes.
Why is the key called "teslog.lt" and not "Teslawaze"? Tesla requires an app to be registered to one specific domain. Our official Tesla Fleet API app (from the same developer) is registered under the teslog.lt domain — that's why you'll see this name in Tesla's dialogs. It's the same Teslawaze team, the same developer, no third party involved.
This feature is strictly opt-in. Here's what we do once connected:
What we DON'T do:
Disconnecting: tap "Disconnect" in settings — your tokens are deleted from our server immediately. You can remove the virtual key from the car via Controls → Locks, and the app's access via the Security page in your Tesla account.
Battery preparation is always handled by the car itself (Tesla's software) — Teslawaze only sends the destination to navigation, exactly as if you had entered it by hand. Whether and when to preheat the battery is decided by Tesla's algorithms (for example, in warm weather preheating may not kick in — that's normal).
The feature is provided "as is", with no warranties. Teslawaze accepts no liability for any car malfunctions, energy consumption, charging results, or any damage that might coincide in time with use of the feature. Software 2025.2.8 or newer is required (for third-party stations). "Tesla" is a trademark of Tesla, Inc. — Teslawaze is not affiliated with it.
